Initially inspired by the striking landscapes of the Hi Desert in California and the scenic backdrops of Costa Rica, this series evolved into a comprehensive body of work that extends beyond the 2D canvas, onto ceramics and paper mache sculpture (among other non-traditional materials) to create ever evolving scenes that expand in volume and scale.
Symbolism plays a significant role in these evolving pieces, as everyday objects and natural elements like snakes and rocks take on a psychological language of their own.
